Wild Clover Preschool

A place to grow wild—with care, connection, and curiosity

Our Vision

At Wild Clover Preschool, we honor early childhood as a time of joy, wonder, and discovery. We are a play-based, child-led learning community for children ages 3–5 in Hood River, Oregon, where children are trusted as capable learners and supported as they explore, connect, and grow. Above all, we create a safe, nurturing space where every child feels they belong—and where their unique potential can shine.

We envision a preschool where:

  • Play is the foundation for learning
Children learn through wonder, hands-on discovery, and meaningful experiences that grow naturally from their interests—at a pace that feels right for them.

  • Children are trusted as capable and curious learners
We honor children’s ideas and questions, allowing their natural curiosity to guide learning and foster confidence and a strong sense of self. We welcome mistakes as part of the process—because growth happens when children feel safe to take risks and try again.

  • Social-emotional growth is at the heart of each day
Children are supported as they build relationships, practice problem-solving, and learn to understand and express their emotions.

  • Guiding with care and intention

Educators observe, listen, and respond thoughtfully, allowing children's curiosity and learning to lead the way.

  • Community and belonging are deeply valued
We foster an inclusive environment that celebrates differences and partners closely with families to support each child's unique development within a connected, caring community.
